Principal Network Administrator/Training Development/Implementation/Interim Secret

Northrop Grumman islooking for an experienced Principal Network Administrator to support the Air Operations Center (AOC) Training Tool (ACCT) program at Hurlburt Field in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining the training system and content for Air Operations Center (AOC) system and network personnel.

Job Duties:

  • Build AOC Systems: build and configure AOC systems and networks within the training system
  • Develop AOC Administration training: develop and implement interactive AOC administration training packages for the training system
  • Work as part of a team to design, develop, implement and transition capabilities required by the client to meet their operational requirements
  • Perform systems engineering and integration within an agile development process
  • Develop high-level and detailed system artifacts in accordance with DoD architecture framework
  • Develop recommendations to introduce solutions, products, services and best practices to fit customer needs


Basic Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experiences OR a Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree requirement
  • Relevant experience in the installation and configuration of AOC baseline network systems and FlexPod components, including Cisco routing and switching, and three or more of the following:
    • Nexus Switches (9500 series, 5548UP, 2248TP)
    • Cisco Unified Computing System (6120XP, 6248UP)
    • Network Appliance (NetApp) FAS (2240, 2650, 3240, 3250, 8200), NetApp Data OnTap Cluster Mode
    • VMware Virtual Center Server and vSphere
    • Solarwinds NPM and NCM, Network Atlas, SAM (System and Application Monitor), and NTA (Netflow Traffic Analyzer)
    • Cisco or ISE Firewalls such as Palo Alto and McAfee Firewall Enterprise
    • Standard/extended ACLs, as used in Cisco IOS/NX-OS
  • A valid CompTIA Security+ CE certification within 6 months of being hired
  • An Interim Secret security clearance (or higher)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related STEM field
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Air Force AOC Systems and configurations
  • Knowledge and experience with Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Systems
  • Knowledge and experience working within a virtualized environment using vSphere and the ESXi Hypervisor
  • Knowledge and experience with the Citrix environment (XenApp Farm, XenDesktop, Netscaler)
  • Knowledge and/or experience with shell and or procedural scripting languages
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Asset management, Patch management, Auditing & System Logs management, DISA STIG compliance
  • Strong trouble-shooting skills
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Agile Development methods
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and effective technical writing skills
