Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
This opportunity is for a Sr Systems Engineer-MBSE for the OmegA Program within the Launch Vehicle Division at the Chandler,AZ facility.
Support creation of new launch vehicle system architecture and related systems engineering products in a model-based environment. The successful candidate will possess strong technical problem solving skills, and will generate system-level launch vehicle requirements, perform vehicle performance assessments and participate in system-level verification & data review activities. Some interface with program management, engineering staff and external customers is expected. The candidate is expected to operate with limited oversight from senior engineering personnel in a collaborative environment. A strong experienced-based and academic foundation in Systems Engineering fundamentals is preferred. Hands-on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experienced is highly desired.
Skills and Qualifications
Cameo System Modeler (MagicDraw) experience strongly preferred.
Object-oriented programming experience strongly preferred. Any general programming experience acceptable. Prefer Java, Python, C++, or object oriented MATLAB. Knowing 3 or more languages is a plus.
Experience with automating analyses, CAD models, Excel sheets, and linking them together.
Experience with making macros on any software for speeding up work.
Experience using APIs to automate software that normally uses a GUI.
Experience performing system analysis and design, requirements decomposition and allocation, and requirements verification is desired.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
US Citizenship is required
Ability to obtain a security clearance is a plus
Ability to travel: Travel expectation
Minimum Education / Experience: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD
