Principal Engineer Information Assurance Lead

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Sunnyvale, California has an opening for a Principal Engineer Information Assurance Lead.The selected candidate designs and implements information assurance and security engineering systems with requirements of business continuity, operations security, cryptography, forensics, regulatory compliance, internal counter-espionage (insider threat detection and mitigation), physical security analysis (including facilities analysis, and security management). Assesses and mitigates system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle. Validates system security requirements definition and analysis. Establishes system security designs. Implements security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures. Verifies security requirements; performs system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities. Supports secure systems operations and maintenance.
Basic Qualifications:
5 Years with Bachelors in Science, in Engineering or Business Management or otherapplicable fields; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
Outstanding PC skills in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint are the essentials, Access and Project would be pluses.
Experience assessing and mitigating system security threats and risks primarily in the area of data vulnerability at rest and in motion.
Experience validating system security reqmts definition and analysis primarily in managing the interface between the program and the IT management.
Experience establishing security system designs and implementing them in hardware, software, data and procedures, primarily in the area of developing procedures used by the program team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be a US citizen with a minimum of an interim secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Program or Project Management experience
Program Management Experience in a Classified DoD Environment
Bachelors Degree in Engineering and/or Advanced Degree in Business Management
Operational Security Plan experience
