Northrop Grumman Innovations Systems is searching for an experienced Sr Electrical Engineer to join our Systems Engineering Integration and Test team in the Launch Vehicle Division at our Chandler, AZ facility.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
?The Sr Electrical Engineer will serve as an Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer requiring the candidate to function in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment.
?Daily responsibilities may require direct contact with launch vehicle flight hardware and solid rocket motors.
?Specific duties may include:
?Hands on testing at the system and subsystem levels.
?Developing and maintaining processes and procedures for the assembly and test of launch vehicle systems.
?Supporting the development and execution of electrical engineering work procedures.
?Supporting electrical troubleshooting
?Incorporating design changes on work in process or completed assemblies; documenting and dispositioning hardware discrepancies and pursuing root cause and corrective actions.
?Set up and usage of data acquisition equipment
?Data analysis and post processing of data.
?Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
?The successful candidate will be able to work independently and complete assigned tasks without direct supervision.
?The candidate must be willing to occasionally work during odd hours (nights/weekends) and occasionally longer than normal (>40 hrs/wk) to meet proposal delivery deadlines.
?The candidate should possess a strong resolve to drive tasks to completion autonomously.
Requires BS in Engineering &5 years or Masters in Engineering &3 years.
Active DoD Secret level security clearance is required.
Hands on integration experience with multiple sub-systems or components is required.
Experience working with operational hazards such as propulsive devices, pressurized systems, overhead lifting, high voltage systems is required.
Skills to write test procedures and review test data to ensure that hardware is tested properly and has passed all tests are required.
Experience working with scientific data acquisition instrumentation systems is required
Ability to interpret functional schematics and electrical block diagrams is required.
Experience with Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems LVD Integration and Test standards/guidelines and expectations is desired.
Experience with external customer interfacing (meetings, presentation, negotiation) is desired.
System testing and launch operations experience is desired.
Experience using LabView software is desired
Experience with communications and timing testing of control actuator systems is desired
Experience with testing in a software integration laboratory (SIL) is desired
Experience with software troubleshooting is desired.
Familiarity with FPGAs is desired.
