Principal Embedded Software Engineer with Clearance

Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems is currently seeking a PrincipalEmbedded Software Engineer with clearance in Northridge, CA to develop embedded software for missile systems. Relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available.
The candidate for this position will be responsible for the design and implementation of embedded software through the full software life cycle for avionics systems. This includes the development of software plans, requirement specifications, and design documentation as well as participating in software process activities including peer reviews, integration testing, qualification testing, and software version control. As a principal engineer, you may be required to act as a technical lead, interfacing with Systems Engineering, Test Engineering, Electrical Engineering, radar and GNC analysts, and software simulation throughout the project lifecycle.
1.Implement radar and/or GNC algorithms developed by the analysts into an embedded software system
2.Participate in the development of software requirements
3.Develop software architecture/design using UML modeling
4.Develop software test plans and procedures
5.Software unit testing, software unit integration, software/hardware integration
6.Software requirements verification testing
8.Follow CMMI Level 3 process throughout the software development lifecycle
1.BS in Computer Science or related Engineering/Math/Physics discipline
2.Must have 7+ years of related experience
3.Must have a current/active Secret security clearance
4.Programming experience in C++ for real-time embedded systems
5.Experience with full software life cycle, including requirement analysis, design, code, test, documentation
6.Experience with common laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, etc.)
1.MS in Computer Science or related Engineering/Math/Physics discipline
2.Experience in object-oriented design and implementation
3.Experience with Mentor Graphics Nucleus RTOS
4.Experience with GPIB, SCPI, RS232/422, Ethernet interfaces
5.Experience with Altera Arria 10 SoC
6.Familiarity with the CMMI and associated standards and guidelines
