Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Principal DevOps Engineer or Sr.Principal DevOps Engineer based out of Redondo Beach, CA.

What You'll get to Do:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing/automating creative solutions. Someone who is focused on joining a great team dedicated to continuing our drive to automate. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be expected to be skilled at identifying opportunities to fill gaps in infrastructure, processes,automation, drive best practices and displayexcellence with all tasks,a key influencer in your team's strategy and contribute significantly to team. We are always looking for new ways to evolve our configuration management, automated deployments, and software product line.

Some of the key areas of responsibility include system analysis, design, develop, build, test, implement, and maintain various systems to meet functional objectives of the business. We cover a wide variety of technologies including Jenkins, Fortify, Ansible, Atlassian suite, TeamForge, ASP, Visual Build, and many more.

Design technical systems solutions and provide hands-on project support to implement advanced automation technologies and services.
Assist development teams by deploying and configuring components in various environments.
Troubleshoot and triage services and solutions.
* Design and collaboratively drive delivery of scalable software solutions.
Development of tools and processes for managing multiple programs.
Development and execution of testing of systems.
Development of execution harnesses, systems validation tools and code performance validation tools.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal DevOps Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM Degree with5 years of related experience; Master's Degree with3 years related experience.
  • Experience with automation
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycles such as Waterfall or Agile
  • Proficient in Windows or Linux
  • Ability to write scripts
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and teach others
  • Tenacity for Troubleshooting
  • Works well in a dynamic Team Environment
  • CurrentDoD Top Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM Degree with9 years of related experience; Master's Degree with7 years of related experience
  • Experience with automation
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycles such as Waterfall or Agile
  • Proficient in Windows or Linux
  • Ability to write scripts
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and teach others
  • Tenacity for Troubleshooting
    Current DoD Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with good Configuration Management practices
  • Understanding computer networks
  • Working knowledge of Integrated Development Environments such as Visual Studio or Eclipse
  • Basic understanding of a common programming languages such as C#, C++ or Java
  • Experience with software deployment technologies such as MSI Installers or RPM packages
