Principal Contract Administrator

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the NGMS F-35 Contracts team located in Linthicum, Maryland. The Contracts Administrator will be responsible for proposal preparation, negotiations and administrative support for the F-35 Sustainment and International Operating Units. Additional duties include: customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition, contract compliance and execution in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. An Active Secret level security clearance is strongly preferred.

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: A Bachelor's degree and 6 years of successful experience in Contract Administration, and/or Business Management or related field or4 years with a Master's Degree or J.D.
Analytical approach to problem-solving and decision-making
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
Demonstrated proficiency and strength with verbal, written, PC, presentation and communications skills
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience as a Contracts Professional in the defense industry

Proficiency and experience supporting sole source and competitive acquisitions
Knowledge of the FAR, DFAR and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations
Experience with various contract types including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Reimbursable, and Time and Material contracts
Familiarity with Northrop Grumman businesses, policies and practices
Strong interpersonal skills
