Performs a variety of operations to assemble complex, advanced assembly of precision mechanical devices and mechanisms. Uses specialized tools such as fixtures, microscopes and dial indicators. Must be capable of being certified to perform bonding of structural and nonstructural adhesives on flight hardware. Performs tests at component, subassembly and system levels as directed by the test engineer. Responsible for test setup, calibration and test performance as defined by test requirements. Bonds a variety of dissimilar materials (composite, metal, or laminate assemblies, parts, skins, components, equipment or structures into semi-finished or finished products. Applies liquid or solid bonding agents. Controls conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being used. Verifies quality of finished product. Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be capable to read and interpret blueprints have ability to develop assembly sequences and techniques for new products.
