Power Supply Test Engineer (level 2 or level 3)

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Manufacturing Operations Test Engineering Team seeks a Test Engineer to support SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Power Supply Testing.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Troubleshoots and supports Power Supplies and Power Supply Test Sets (Spectrum 9100)
Supports First Time Through Test Yield (FTTTY) and hardware deliveries
Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements
Supports technicians through troubleshooting and training
Analyzes test data and identifies early trends
Supports program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions
Collaborates with design engineering, technicians, manufacturing & various programs to develop and implement hardware improvements and solutions

The right candidate will have analytical skills to review requirements, test plans, and test scenarios; and the ability to effectively communicate and work with manufacturing, test engineering, and design engineering personnel. He/she should also be self-directed, organized, team oriented, and have previous experience with MS Office tools.

MANUMS
This job may be filled as a level 2 or a level 3 based on the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:
BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or other STEM Field
2 years of related experience (0 years with a STEM MS degree)
Experience with the following test equipment (Oscilloscope, Digital Multimeter, Spectrum Analyzer)
Familiarity with basic concepts of Power Supply circuit design and troubleshooting down to CCA component level
General knowledge of test software and reading and understanding schematics

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or other STEM Field
5 years of related experience (3 years with a STEM MS degree)
Experience with the following test equipment (Oscilloscope, Digital Multimeter, Spectrum Analyzer)
Familiarity with basic concepts of Power Supply circuit design and troubleshooting down to CCA component level
General knowledge of test software and reading and understanding schematics

Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Amplifiers, oscillators, mixers, switching circuits
Circuit card assembly (CCA) level test experience
Experience with automated testing is desired, but not required.
Experience working with high voltage and high current
Working knowledge using the Spectrum 9100 test platform
Background in lab windows CVI, C
Active US Secret Level security clearance
