Pipeline- Principal Mechanical Engineer -Equipment Lines Routing Engineer

Responsibilities for this Pipeline requisition are:

Our Bethpage, NY office is seeking an experienced Equipment Lines Routing Engineer to perform the following:
Equipment Lines Engineer to create lines Installation drawings from wiring diagrams for Defense Department Systems. Candidate shall communicate the lines run as part of a multi-disciplined team and be able to interface with all disciplines on the team to come up with an optimized routing. Candidate shall be able to work both independently and as part of a large multi-disciplined team.

Candidate shall be a Mechanical Engineering professional experienced with development of cable lines runs developed from Schematic drawings. This includes the generation of cable routing, clamping and mounting brackets to support the cables throughout the lines run, determination of clearances, mounting hardware, generation of drawings per DoD 100
and BOM management. Candidate shall be familiar with manufacturing/assembly methods.

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Discipline with 5 years of mechanical engineering experience or Master's degree with 3 years exp
-Must have at least 2yrs Equipment Lines Routing Design experience
-Candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the required result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze medium to complex problems and develop solutions.
-Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Secret Security Clearance is required.
-U.S Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Equipment Lines Installation experience for Navy Aircraft and/or NAVSEA Shipboard Systems. Knowledge of Mil Spec
connectors and back shells.
-Knowledge of NX and Teamcenter
-Secret clearance
