PIPEFITTER C

  • Assemble, level and fit preformed piping/tubing, flanges, fittings and valves to products and measure, cut and bend tubing and piping according to established detail information.
  • Experience in a team environment where expectations are to work and/or assist Journeyman level Pipefitters.
  • Basic knowledge of ferrous and nonferrous pipe, tubing, fittings, valves for products such as turbines, gears, generator sets, blowers, reservoirs, thread compounds, and Teflon tape.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of SAP and MES systems preferred.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA.
  • Must be able to deliver high quality products under tight schedules and short notices

    Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Ability to measure, cut, and thread tubing and piping according to detailed drawings and information.
    • Knowledge with loading, operating, and unloading pipe benders to bend pipe to specifications where layout of piping and setup of machine stops and locating fixtures has already been completed.
    • Be able to read and follow safety regulations and procedures and MI packages including drawings, change notices, operation sheets, and work authorizations.
    • Basic computer skills needed to ensure proper data recording and time charging at all times, i.e. SAP and MES.
    • High School Diploma and Technical Diploma (AS) or Certification.
