Pilot Level 4 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for developmental testing at various sites. Remotely pilots vehicle to determine compliance with specification and operational suitability during engineering tests and flight test/demonstration support through specifically prescribed tests and maneuvers. Reviews Detailed Test Plans, attends Test Plan Working Groups, organizes and executes complex flight programs and flight test events in accordance with military, FAA and ICAO procedures. Conducts briefings and debriefings, and coordinates with maintenance personnel to analyze and correct vehicle discrepancies. Candidate may conduct demonstration flights with customers, government officials or other personnel to exhibit vehicle performance, flying qualities and system capabilities.

Responsibilities include developing test techniques, assisting in cockpit/workstation design, working with flight test engineers creating test plans, developing test products, evaluating systems in the laboratory environment, simulation, ground test, flight test, and reporting on test results. Position based at Palmdale, CA requiring occasional travel (50% or less). Selected candidate must successfully complete initial and recurrent training and qualifications as a basis for continued employment.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree plus9 years of aviation experience.
Position requires experience as a flight operations crew member.
Must be FAA commercial, instrument rated pilot (or military equivalent) plus current FAA Class II Medical or better.
Minimum of 500 hours of flight experience as Pilot in Command and able to maintain instrument currency in manned aircraft.
Top Secret Clearance required to start

Preferred Qualifications:

Military flight experience highly desirable.
Flight test experience, multi-engine rated, aviation instructor experience also highly preferred.
Test Pilot School Graduate
