Pilot Unmanned Aerial Veh 4

Pilots unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) during developmental test and operational flights. Remotely pilots vehicle to determine compliance with specification and operational suitability during engineering tests and flight test/demonstration support through specifically prescribed tests and maneuvers. Defines, plans, organizes and executes complex flight programs and flight test events. Conducts briefings and debriefings, and coordinates with maintenance personnel to analyze and correct vehicle discrepancies. May conduct demonstration flights with customers, government officials or other personnel to exhibit vehicle performance, flying qualities and system capabilities. Typically FAA rated.Basic Qualifications: Candidate requires 9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's of Science Degree, or 7 years with Masters. Must have experience as flight operations or flight test crewmember and current FAA Class II flight physical. Minimum of 500 hours flight experience as Pilot in Command required. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills are required. Advanced user-level computer skills required within flight, simulator, and MS Office environments. Must possess a current US DoD Top Secret security clearance. Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year. The ability to obtain and retain a Program Security Clearance is required as condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Aviation, Aerospace or Science field strongly preferred. Experience as a multi-engine rated military flight instructor in a manned or unmanned aircraft preferred. Experience with technical research and the use of engineering data, electronic technical manuals, and tasking subject matter experts to lead complex projects from analysis to implementation utilizing established processes, development software, and team members desired.
