This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations working in a collaborative/team environment across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable with elevating accountability at all levels.

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to, the following:
Deploy, refresh, EOL and support PC hardware and approved peripherals on Sector supported classified networks for Microsoft Windows based systems
Deploy new equipment
Install approved hardware and software
Configure, troubleshoot and repair PC software and approved peripherals
Troubleshoot PC network connectivity issues
Service and repair PC hardware
Sanitize and surplus equipment for EOL
Implement and troubleshoot interactions between multi-users computing systems and various desktop hardware or software
Maintain images for classified areas to meet standards provided by Computer Security and the Customer
Participate/facilitate software upgrades and new software/hardware insertion projects
Use the Enterprise VSM system to respond to user's requests
Used to capture metrics on workload for planning and budgeting purposes
Support for Code Blue activities
Maintain refresh and new deploy inventory
Interface with the Depot for delivery and pre-configuration
Support and maintain unclassified PCs in the restricted area
Support Proposal activities
Support off-site systems and activities
Support Program moves - as time permits
Activities not part of CEIS Desktop Support SOW
Provide software support and troubleshooting for in-house developed applications
Application Engineering SOW
Printer support and sanitization

Special hardware requirements for specific activities: Phones, Server administration, Asset Management, Network hardware configuration, Cabling and power, Linux support



Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 1 year of IT support experience; OR an Associates degree (or other 2 year technical degree) with 3 years of IT support experience; OR a High School Diploma with 5 years of IT support experience is required
• Must have experience troubleshooting, installing, and configuring Desktops running Windows OS (including Windows 10), as well as the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Must have a DOD 8570 IAT level 2 baseline certification (example: Security+ CE); OR must have the ability to obtain one within 6 months of start date
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
• Ability to work after hours, and weekends, as needed
• Candidates must have a current DOD Top Secret clearance (or higher)
• Must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Science (or other technical degree) preferred
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Dell, HP, or other certifications helpful
• Experience with remote administration and troubleshooting of desktop PCs,
• Experience with Visio
• Experience with PowerShell scripting
• Experience with zero and/or thin client devices
• Experience in Active Directory configuring user and computer accounts
• Cross-platform experience (i.e. two or more of the following: Windows, Linux, Solaris, OSX, UNIX, etc.)
• Experience supporting VMware VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure)
