PC Network Support Tech 2

Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Computer Support technician needed to join VITA end user services team. The successful candidate will provide support in the Midlothian, VA area. Provides technical support for computers and associated networks. Installs, troubleshoots, services, and repairs personal computers, network equipment such as servers and switches, and related PC software. Provides personal computer, hardware, and software support. Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs personal computers and installs software. Connects personal computers to existing data networks and verifies their operability. Maintains and updates asset inventory in compliance with program standards. Troubleshoots and diagnoses computer hardware problems and uses standard processes for their repair or problem resolution. Instructs users in the use of personal computers and networks as it relates to assigned problem. Troubleshoots and resolves network connectivity issues with support from senior technical staff.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum education required: HS diploma and1 year related experience. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, as well as with a team.
  • US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates that have excellent customer service skills A Plus Certification desired. Network Plus certification a plus. Same day travel to customer locations may be required, so ability to do local travel required. Must be able to obtain and maintain State clearances to include DOC and VSP
