Paralegal 4

Northrop Grumman Law Department- International Legal Group seeks a Paralegal to join its team. This position can be located in either Linthicum, MD or Falls Church, VA. The Paralegal reports directly to the Assistant General Counsel, International and will provide Paralegal support to the Law department's international legal group, including its role supporting the global activities and operations of the Company and its international legal compliance activities and lead role in managing the Company's international anti-corruption program.

Specifically, this position is responsible for timely and accurate drafting of legal documents, including international consultant and commissioned sales representative agreements and related amendments. Maintains contract files for the library of applicable foreign and U.S. law. Tracks the status of agreements, amendments, and related legal memoranda. Vets international counsel; conduct legal research, analyses and reports; supports the compliance and training programs managed by the group, and interacts with outside counsel and internal stakeholders as necessary to enable the efficient operation of the department. Analyzes business courtesy requests for compliance with applicable policies and answer procedural questions for business partners.
Basic Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certificate or College degree in Paralegal studies and a minimum of 6 years' experience in a legal-related position.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • This position requires the ability to balance and influence multiple competing priorities and individuals.
  • A strong commitment and collaborative approach is paramount.
  • Exercise strong judgment with integrity at all times in execution of responsibilities.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as project management, analytical, planning, presentation and human relations' skills are required.
  • The demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships with others is critical.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and corporate anti-corruption compliance programs.
