Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Facilities Director 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will supporting Palmdale and Antelope Valley, but will be located in Palmdale, CA.

The Palmdale/ AV site is comprised of over 2M square feet of space including complex manufacturing, paint, test, offices, laboratories and high bay assembly areas. The Palmdale Center of Excellence is situated on a Government Owned, Contractor Operated (GOCO) property and is laid out over four different sites as well as Mojave.

This person will be chartered to lead the Palmdale Aircraft Assembly Center of Excellence expansion, reconfiguration, and construction to support existing high rate production programs, with particular emphasis on the ramp up of large restricted programs and increased production rate of a major and critical sustaining program

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible to execute the fiscal and operational responsibilities associated with the following facilities disciplines across all programs, functions, and CoE operations across the Palmdale / AV site:
    • Project Management
    • Construction Management
    • Facility Infrastructure Maintenance
    • Production Equipment Maintenance
  • Responsible for customer, regulatory and environmental compliance.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 9 years of experience in facilities maintenance operations and/or engineering, planning, design/architecture.
  • Position requires someone with prior experience managing cross discipline teams, budgets, and schedules.
  • Project management experience.
  • Must have a current in scope DOD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with classified environment (SCIF, SAP, etc.) construction standards preferred.
  • Experience managing in a GOCO facility preferred.
  • Top Secret Clearance or Special Program Access
  • Knowledge of LEED standards preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-paced environment
  • Program Management
