Northrop Grumman is seeking experienced personnel with P-3 aircraft background to support a maintenance program with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Jacksonville, FL. The CBP P-3 fleet consists of Airborne Early Warning (AEW) and Long Range Tracker (LRT) high-endurance, all-weather, tactical turbo-prop aircraft. The AEW aircraft are utilized primarily for long-range patrols along the entire U. S. border, and in source and transit zone countries. The LRT aircraft are used to intercept, track airborne and surface threats in source and transit zone countries. The P-3 aircraft are equipped with state-of-the-art, highly sophisticated sensor equipment, i.e., radar, electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) detecting systems.

If so, we need you to join our team as an Environmental Health & Safety/Training Coordinator and be a part of our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Jacksonville, FL and will have oversite of detachment locations both CONUS and internationally.
Duties and responsibilities:
You will be responsible for reinforcing site and/or program safety protocols, maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, CBP, and Northrop Grumman policies and procedures, monitoring the facility for EHS hazards, and responding accordingly. May be directed as needed to support the sites' environmental, safety and health operations. May be required to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Your duties include working with site operations leadership to support all training needs of the team. New hires will be onboarded by the training coordinator, who provides guidance and direction during the critical first week of employment. Helping facilitate the creation of effective training modules for on-the-job training (OJT) modules will also be a key role for the training coordinator. In addition, the training coordinator will work with management to assign appropriate training courses, resolve issues with the Learning Exchange (LX), manage team training records, and support leadership in their efforts to keep all employees current on their training.
Specific duties include:
Safety inspections
Accident Investigations
Job hazard analysis and PPE assessments
Machine guarding and Lockout/tagout program management
Respiratory protection program oversight
Ergonomic assessments
Hazardous material and Hazardous waste inspections, management and oversight, scheduling waste pick-ups
Air permitting support (Confined Space Training)
Fire extinguisher / eyewash inspections
Fall protection inspections
Maintain a chain of custody inventory for ready for service and unserviceable CAD (cartridge activated devices Class "C" explosives).
New hire orientation
Industrial hygiene and occupational health monitoring
Conduct routine safety and health trainings
Investigate employee health and safety concerns
Conduct environmental testing and regulatory inspections
Storm water and industrial wastewater compliance
Support safety and health programs development
Review contractor safety compliance
Participation in Crisis Management Team
Hurricane preparedness training and duties
Basic Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 6 years of documented EH&S experience and a High School diploma or equivalent; 2 year college degree with EH&S experience OR documented military classroom EH&S specialist training that awarded a job classification code and a minimum of 4 years of documented experience may also be considered
2. Basic knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the EH&S field and training environment
3. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
4. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
5. Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to work with all levels of personnel, including management and outside vendors and to accurately communicate, document and report
6. Ability to obtain/maintain a DHS CBP Background Investigation; CBP investigation, which is required to start
Preferred Qualifications:
1. 8 or more years of directly relevant experience in aviation industry EH&S field OR a Bachelor's degree in comparable discipline plus three (3) 4 years relevant experience
2. Active DOD Secret or higher level security clearance
3. Active CBP Background Investigation
Salary Range: *$18 - $30
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
