Organization Effectiveness Consultant 3/4 - MD/VA

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking candidates for an Organization Effectiveness Consultant based in either Linthicum, Maryland or McLean, Virginia. The scope and responsibilities of the OE role are as follows:

  • Assess critical business issues and provide input, advice, direction and execution to advance the organization's business strategy.
  • Design and facilitate culture change initiatives, organization transformations, reorganizations, realignments and large-scale organization interventions in partnership with business leaders and the HR team.
  • Diagnose organizational needs and develop comprehensive solutions to increase team and organizational performance.
  • Collaborate with Division/Functional Vice Presidents and Human Resource Business Leaders to develop and implement strategies aimed at systemic cultural and leadership change across the business.
  • Provide expertise and facilitation strategic planning, change management, leadership assimilations, and other organization interventions.

  • This position may be filled as a Level 3 or a Level 4.

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3 are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • 6 years experience in Organization Development consulting and/or Talent Management leadership steeped in transformation and change management with additional experience as an HR generalist.
  • Understanding and appreciation for business, and ability to apply systems thinking to identify, develop and execute solutions to enhance business performance.
  • Deep change management and project management background; process orientation to HR work.
  • Proven experience driving large scale transformation and culture change efforts
  • Demonstrated experience leading organizational assessments that result in development and implementation of strategies that improve organizational performance and business outcomes.
  • Deep talent mindset coupled with practical experience driving leader development and succession planning strategies/processes.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating workshops and senior leadership meetings.
  • Organization design experience; proven track record of being able to assess, diagnose and design creative and innovative organizational models and structures. Experience working and designing in a matrix structure.
  • Experience working with highly skilled technical talent.
  • Experience with labor relations and/or working with a represented workforce.
  • Experience as an internal or external consultant.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, OD, Human Resources Management, Human Resources.
  • Professional certifications in change management, coaching, facilitation, org design and/or assessments.
