Oracle Software Development Analyst 3

The qualified applicant will solve software problems for manufacturing, logistics and production operations software platforms by analyzing requirements; designing and developing computer programs and reports; recommending system controls and protocols to adhere to compliance and contractual requirements. The incumbent will support Northrop Grumman's Computer Aided Production Environment (CAPE) custom developed software as well as COTS applications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes business and technical requirements and performs various software engineering tasks from detail design, development to maintenance, testing and deployment.
  • Provides technical support to business and technical users of software that manages various assembly, systems test planning, integration and evaluation reporting activities for Space and non-Space products and programs within NGAS' systems integration, test and evaluation directorate.
  • On a part time basis, provides software maintenance, report development and user support for reporting tools used by Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization.
  • Identifies business process opportunities and software development controls to ensure quality and efficiency of development team operations.
  • Proficient and systematic technical and process trouble shooter, problem solver.
  • As requested, provides training and proposal support for various programs

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance



Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • 5 years' of relevant experience supporting production IT software with a Bachelors in Science degree; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively work in a team setting
  • Troubleshoot production issues and find solutions
  • 11x and higher Oracle Forms and Reports
  • Weblogic 10.x and higher experience
  • JDeveloper
  • Red-Hat Linux OS understanding and experience
  • Oracle 11g and above Database understanding
  • Oracle PL/SQL including Packages, Procedures, and Functions

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Existing TS/SCI or able to get one
  • Java, ADF and APEX knowledge and experience
  • Javascript, HTML, data modeling and Web Services experience
  • Subversion experience and as a plus knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
