Operations Project Manager (level 3 or level 4), Submarine Systems

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Undersea Systems Manufacturing is looking for an Operations Project Manager to support electromechanical submarine systems projects in our Annapolis, Maryland facility. Projects may include torpedo, towed sonar arrays, and submarine flank arrays.

Ideally the Operations Program Manager will have a technical background in a hardware engineering discipline; electrical/ mechanical manufacturing experience; solid organizational skills; an ability to lead program teams to achieve program milestones and delivery objectives; program planning and scheduling skills; solid communication skills; and familiarity with
earned value management.

Knowledge of welding, machining and mechanical/electrical assembly is desired but not required. The ideal candidate will have a background in undersea systems and the unique product lines and manufacturing processes that support such systems.

This job may be filled as a level 3 or a level 4 based on the requirements below.

Please note that this is a Professionalor TechnicalBand 3 or Band 4 job and not a Manager job.
Basic Qualifications for a level 3:
A Bachelor's degree is required.
Candidates with a non-STEM Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
Candidates with a Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) must have 5 years of relevant work experience or 3 years of relevant work experience with a Master's degree.
Experience in a manufacturing environment or experience with submarine/sonar systems
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance (US citizenship is required).

Candidates with a non-STEM Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
Candidates with a Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) must have 9 years of relevant work experience or 7 years of relevant work experience with a Master's degree.
Experience in a manufacturing environment or experience with submarine/sonar systems
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance (US citizenship is required).

Preferred Qualifications:
A technical background in a hardware engineering discipline
Experience in program planning and scheduling
