TheAvionics and Tactical Networks (ATN)team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as aOperations Program Manager 3based out of our Rancho Carmel facility in San Diego, CA.ATN focuses on delivering advanced military communications, network architectures and support systems that enable network-centric operations for defense and homeland security customers worldwide.

What You'll get to Do:
The Operations Program Manager 3 (OPM)will be supporting our JSF Manufacturing Program. The OPM for JSF will be responsible for technical, cost and schedule and leading all production efforts involved with building and delivering several hardware module types. He/she will be responsible for interfacing with technical leadership, business management, production control, and production supervisors to achieve the hardware modules are built within cost and budget while meeting production build schedules. The chosen candidate will manage to a line of balance, work with suppliers, oversee and/or guide root cause and corrective actions to closure. They will work under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Five years of experience with a Bachelor's degree with a working knowledge of hardware manufacturing for advanced digital/RF electronics or 2 years of experience with a Master's degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Three or more years of work experience in a related technical field for the Aerospace/Defense or Intelligence communities
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical or science curriculum or STEM field
  • Previous experience on development or production programs.
  • Three or more years of experience in a management position - experience leading/managing teams of engineers and technical managers
  • Previous experience in Firm Fixed Price contracts and earned value management knowledge.
  • Experience with management of cost, schedule, and technical performance of a project or program.
  • Experience managing or working with manufacturing builds and working with production control and supply chain
  • Previous engineering design experience on development programs is desired.
  • Current Secret clearance with ability to obtain special access.
