OVERVIEW: Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer to perform Nuclear Surety engineering for the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program located in Ogden, UT. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

JOB DUTIES: Conduct nuclear surety requirements analysis, various technical nuclear surety evaluations, nuclear certification trade studies and assessments, and risk& vulnerability analyses required in developing a nuclear ICBM system. This includes safety/security evaluations of the design, operation, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, propulsion, transportation & handling, nuclear command & control, software, and communications subsystems. Duties also include presenting technical material to the GBSD Nuclear Surety Working Group, internal review/control boards, and various AF review boards.

* This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or level 3.
* BS in an engineering or related scientific field and 2+ years related experience. MS degree and 0 years of related experience. (Level 3 requires BS degree with 5+ years, MS degree and 2+ years)
* Engineering experience with Air Force or Navy strategic missile systems.
* Must be a US Citizen with an Active SECRET security clearance (or higher) and able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.

* Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
* Familiarity with DoD and AF Nuclear Surety policy and processes.
* ICBM work experience related to design, operations, requirements, maintenance, or security.
* Experience conducting Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
* Must have excellent technical writing skills.
* Good verbal and interpersonal skills required to work closely with teammates and government stakeholder organizations (AF Safety Center, AF Nuclear Weapons Center, National Security Agency, etc.)
