Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Non-Destructive Test Technician4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA and the selected candidate must be available to support 3rd shift including weekends. Travel may be required.

The selected candidate will be involved in the NDT Inspection of hardware supporting various aircraft Programs and must be NAS 410 Level II certified in RT and/or PT, UT.

Essential Functions:

  • Proficient in the use and application of technical management standards, principles, theories and techniques to provide innovative solutions to assigned tasks
  • Have a thorough understanding of RT Non-Destructive Inspection techniques and theories
  • Possess the ability to work independently to apply defect criteria to results for hardware that is being examined and communicate those results through strong written and verbal communication skills

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in a factory environment and be able to collaborate closely with a multi discipline Engineering Team as well as Manufacturing and Inspection technicians to support day-to-day manufacturing activities.
Basic Qualifications:
AA or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline OR A valid Non Destructive Inspection (NDI) Level II certification in one the following NAS410 (UT, ET, RT, PT) with 6 years of experience
Must be willing to work 3rd shift, overtime and/or non-standard work schedule
Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
Level II certifications in multiple disciplines in accordance with NAS410 (UT, ET, RT, PT)
Active DoD Secret/Top Secret or in scope SSBI/SCI clearance
A minimum of 10 years experience inspecting Composite aircraft hardware
