Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Network Systems Test Engineer 3to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

Essential Functions:
- Primary function is to provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to systematically isolate and resolve network, software, and/or hardware anomalies down to the LRU level. Position requires supporting on-site Integration & Test (I&T) efforts of both hardware and software deliveries while adhering to developed Configuration Management (CM) controls.
- The successful candidate will understand: system / mission operations; hardware / software troubleshooting; script functionality / creation (UNIX shell, Perl, etc.); UNIX familiarity / file systems / skills ( Solaris); Network knowledge / troubleshooting; and Transfer protocols. Candidate must be able to work harmoniously within a multi-contractor team embedded with the customer.
- Prior military or contractor experience as a maintainer and/or operator of mission critical system is preferred.
- Experience with or knowledge of the Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS), is a plus. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution.
- Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
- A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in network, systems or test
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance to start in scope (investigation in the last 6 years)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Information Technology, Computer Engineering Technology or technical CIS plus seven (7) years related systems experience in UNIX, SUN, Solaris, CISCO; SIGINT & IMINT
- Current SCI program access with CI polygraph
- Must be willing to work non-standard shifts/overtime and travel for extended periods
