MLS Material and Production Manager 2

Primary responsibility is the technical and business ownership of marine propulsion and power generation manufacturing for aftermarket products.

This position is responsible for both internally and externally manufactured parts from order inception to delivery. This is a high volume business requiring careful management of cost and schedule for each project. This position manages

each project from requisition or routing release, through manufacturing, receipt inspection, packaging, shipping, and order closeout. Limited field service support is a requirement.

Position has ownership of an OH budget, a profit/loss center and typical project management constraints such as statements of work, schedules and direct budgets. Position requires the management of two professional employees and

one union employee along with extensive interfacing with factory and external Manufacturing, Design, and Programs.

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and

contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree Required. Five or more years of technical and/or manufacturing experience. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Technical Discipline preferred but will consider a business background with some technical, manufacturing, MRP, or program management experience. Experience with Northrop Grumman or Westinghouse Marine

Equipment. SAP Experience highly desirable.
