Mission Systems IPT Lead - CNI Program Manager 2

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Mission Systems IPT Lead CNI Program Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

Essential Functions:

  • Directs all phases of CNI subsystem activities from proposal development through completion
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of CNI subsystem team
  • Participates in contract changes and negotiations at both the customer and supplier levels
  • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, proposal work statements, specifications, operating budgets and contract terms and conditions. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for development, integration and test
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to schedules, identifies program problems and develops solutions
  • Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical and administrative areas
  • Oversees CNI technical direction and interfaces with other program entities
  • Provide direction to all assigned CNI team leaders and personnel
  • Coordinate closely with the CNI IPT Director and the Mission Systems IPT leaders
  • Act on behalf of the CNI IPT Director to successfully coordinate and ensure implementation of all CNI program tasks
  • Manage customer interfaces and ensure customer satisfaction

The selected candidate will have proven success in facilitating across peer and senior relationships, strong and proactive organizational skills, and deep program management knowledge.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of aerospace and defense engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team, either as a lead, functional manager, or program/matrix manager
  • A current DoD Secret or Top Secret/SCI level security clearance, to include a Single Scope Background Investigation, a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 6 years
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain program access prior to start

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Program Access
  • Communication, Navigation, Identification systems experience
  • Master'sDegree in STEM, Project Management, or MBA
  • Integrated Product Team (IPT) management experience
  • Subcontract leadership management experience
  • Program management experience
  • Previous experience working on restricted programs
