The Mission Assurance (MA) Manager 2 is responsible for establishing and leading the MA function for the Sunnyvale location; a key element of the Marine Systems business unit within the Navigation & Maritime Systems Division (N&MSD). Marine Systems designs, builds, tests, and supports
Propulsion/Power Generation and Launch Systems for submarine and aircraft carriers.

program and process effectiveness and efficiency; and will be responsible for executing, monitoring and reporting on the health of the quality system and the quality of products and services. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated
success leading broad organizations within cost and schedule while achieving a high level of employee engagement.

objective evaluation of information resulting in effective communication, championing, and implementation of change with a diverse set of internal and external customers and suppliers. The Mission Assurance Manager reports to the Mission Assurance Director of the Sunnyvale location.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Manages the MA engineering team which performs program audits to specifications and product development plans.
Monitors program specifications, quality metrics, internal audit metrics and processes to ensure mission success.
Collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Global Supply Chain to ensure quality is inherent in every requirement,
design, work product, and end product delivered by Northrop Grumman Sunnyvale.
Responsible for departmental productive yield, budgets, and non-applied time.
Promotes the professional development of the Mission Assurance workforce and fosters a collaborative culture that

Assures compliance in quality, risk management, safety, process improvement, subcontractor and supplier quality,
configuration and data management in accordance with contractual requirements.
Leverages comprehensive metrics, customer and employee feedback to assess program performance and risks, and
determines resources to ensure mission success.
Responsible for the preparation of proposals for the Mission Assurance team.
Frequent interface with executives and customer representatives including on-site DCMA representatives concerning
projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and contractual clarifications.
Thought leader influencing and impacting strategy for the program, quality, Mission Assurance while driving innovative
change.
Regularly requires analysis of alternative courses of action for continued program quality.
MAQEA
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related technical field.
5 years of related experience, with experience in Quality/ Quality Management.
5 years of experience managing individual contributors.
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required).
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering or technical field.
3 – 5 years of experience managing programs and/or control accounts using the Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
Familiarity with RFP / RFQ process and proposal development utilizing parametric tools.
Demonstrated understanding of the program / product lifecycle in two or more areas including design, supply chain management, receiving operations, inventory control, production control, product test & evaluation, reliability, root cause
analysis, product sell off, and/or shipping and product support as they apply to quality.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification process.
Experience with Model Based Engineering and familiarity with SolidWorks, Simulink, and/or Pro-E.
Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) certification to drive continuous improvement.
Familiarity with SAP, a plus with Mission Assurance transactions.
Possesses DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required).
