Mission Assurance Manager 2- Baltimore, MD
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Division seeks a Mission Assurance Manager 2 to work at our Baltimore, MD location.
Our Baltimore headquarters seeks a Mission Assurance Manager 2 to lead a front line inspection department that supports the Airborne C4ISR Division.
As a key leader, partner and essential member of the AC4ISR Mission Assurance leadership team, the Quality Manager will lead a high performing Quality team and will be responsible for executing, monitoring and reporting on the health of programs and quality of products and services. The MA Manager reports to the East Building Mission Assurance Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Promotes the professional development of the Mission Assurance workforce and fosters a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth and continuous improvement.
Set and monitor inspection priorities in order to meet program milestones.
Defines and monitors program specifications, quality metrics, internal audit metrics and other processes to ensure product quality.
Leverages comprehensive metrics, customer and employee feedback to assess program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission success.
Provides clear assignments, helps employees connect their efforts to the bigger picture, creates an inclusive work environment characterized by mutual respect and the valuing of differences, and builds a culture that motivates employees to their highest levels of performance. Maintains the highest level of commitment to quality, compliance and internal controls in adherence to company values and ethics.
Sets the strategy to meet customer's expectations, regularly communicates program status. Provides situational awareness and effective communication both internally and externally.
Assures compliance in quality, risk management, safety, process improvement, subcontractor and supplier quality, configuration and data management in accordance with contractual requirements.
Develops and administers budgets, schedules and resource planning.
Responsible for department yields, expenses, and non-applied time, and merit planning.
Bachelor's Degree in a related technical or business field.
Five years of related Quality Assurance, Mission Assurance, Program Management or Engineering experience.
Previous leadership experience in a team environment
Demonstrated experience integrating with multiple departments
Ability to obtain and maintain a D.O.D. Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
Masters degree in a related field.
Two years of experience in the Aerospace Industry.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System certification process.
Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
Knowledgeable of Earned Value Management.
Familiarity with SAP.
Experience in advanced micro-electronic assembly environment.
