Mission Assurance Engineer 3- Richmond, VA

Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Mission Assurance Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Richmond, Virginia.

Realize the rewards of conquering a new challenge. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Northrop Grumman's Mission Assurance team for the Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-Army) Program.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs.

Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements.

Assesses program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission assurance.

Conduct product and process evaluations to validate compliance with contractual requirements, corporate policies, industry standards, and project generated documentation

Assist in the preparation of successful internal and external assessments (to include maintaining current ISO 9001, AS9100 certifications and preparation for CMMI assessments)

Assist in the defining of quality assurance processes and procedures

Promote and support continuous improvement activities

Facilitate and Manage change requests through the Change Control Board (CCB) and generate metrics

MAQEA

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in STEM/related technical field.

9 years of related work experience.

Experience with AS9100, IS9001 and/or CMMI standards.

Must be able to possess an Army issued National Agency Background Check with Law and Credit (NACLC). US Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with software configuration management.

Familiarity with SAP software development.

Strong interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with internal business/technical teams and external consultants.

Experience with Minitab and developing and analyzing control charts

Detail oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to execute processes as documented and follows governance processes.

Must be able to plan, organize, and establish priorities related to an assignment and the ability to work independently.

Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills.

Strong background and expertise in Microsoft Word, Power Point, & Excel.
