Mission Assurance Engineer 2/3

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Mission Assurance Engineer 2/3 to become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Assurance (MA) organization located at our site in Linthicum, MD.

This position will be a member of the team responsible for defining and monitoring program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Defines and monitors Mission Assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of Airborne C4ISR programs.

Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements.

Assesses program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission assurance.

Processes and dispositions Program Material Review Board actions.

Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are implemented.

Ability to interface with customers and program teams.

This requisition may be filled at either a Level 2 or a Level 3.

MAQEA

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:

BS Degree in Engineering, Math, or related technical field and two (2) years in Quality Assurance, Mission Assurance or Program Management in a manufacturing production environment.

Knowledge of QA System specifications/standards.

Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project).

Proficiency and knowledge in sampling and statistical techniques.

Knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

BS in Engineering, Math, or related technical field.

Five (5) years in Quality Assurance, Mission Assurance or Program Management in a manufacturing production environment.

Knowledge of QA System specifications/standards.

Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project).

Proficiency and knowledge in sampling and statistical techniques.

Knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles.

Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications for a Level 2 or 3:

Experience with SAP.

Training in Six Sigma and CI methodologies.

Experience in DoD environment.

Active Secret Clearance.
