Microelectronics RF Test Engineer 2

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing Engineering team, where they will work on Microelectronics suite of products as a Test Engineer.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Researches, designs, develops, tests and identifies improvements / corrective actions for a variety Integrated Microelectronics Assemblies (IMAs). This includes designing, developing, and validating IMA test stations as well.

  • Experience using RF test equipment is a plus
  • Troubleshooting production hardware to determining root cause of failures and identify corrective actions
  • Support production floor and test technicians
  • Optimizing processes to reduce cost and increase throughput
  • Maintaining process and procedures in accordance with ISO standards
  • Working with suppliers to resolve technical hardware issues
  • Creating and analyzing metrics to target cost improvements
  • Hardware integration and test
  • Create engineering documentation (change notices, parts lists, bills of materials, test reports, test procedures)
  • Support transition technologies from design to production

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or other STEM Field and 2 years of related experience or a MS degree with 0 years related experience
  • General knowledge of RF test equipment (scopes, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator).
  • Familiarity with basic concepts of RF circuit design and troubleshooting
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with manufacturing, test engineering & design engineering personnel
  • Candidate should have previous experience of MS Office tools
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance - US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active US Secret Level security clearance
  • Candidate should have analytical skills to review requirements, test plans and test scenarios.
  • Experience with RF test equipment
  • Experience with data mining / correlation studies
  • Candidate should be self-directed, organized, team oriented individual
  • Familiarity with basic concepts of RF circuit design and troubleshooting
