Mgr Structural Engineering 2

Structural Analysis Section Manager. This position is responsible for providing technical and functional management (people, processes, tools, and technology) for a team of structural analysis engineers supporting program activities. The selected candidate will provide leadership and direction regarding analysis of metallic and composite aircraft structures, and provide oversight and direction in enforcing quality of analysis to meet program objectives. Individual will have responsibility to ensure customer requirements regarding structural performance and weight are effectively managed within cost and schedule constraints and will provide technical oversight on structural analysis loads submitted by loads team including loads check out of master FEM, structural testing (static and fatigue) as required, and have technical oversight on sub-contract technical work interfacing with primary and/or secondary structures. The selected candidate will also support the technical oversight of structural analysis packages and act as the focal point for customer review activities while maintaining positive customer relations with continued customer interaction.

Functional responsibilities will include forecasting and meeting staffing requirements, supporting staffing processes, including reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, hiring and onboarding. Candidate will also conduct performance reviews, Staff and 1:1 meetings for individuals assigned to their section as well as ensure tools and processes are in place to ensure program and individual employee success.

Basic Qualifications:
* BS degree in a STEM (Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics) discipline
* 7 years applicable Stress/Structural Analysis experience working on military or government projects.
* The ability to obtain a US Government DoD Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

* Demonstrated technical leadership and management experience
* Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with the customer and program management.
