Northrop Grumman Autonomous Systems is seeking a Quality Manager Level 3 to support our San Diego CA Center of Excellence.

Essential Functions:
Perform as the Program Quality Manager (PQM) having total responsibility for all quality requirements of the Triton program by providing leadership and management to assigned personnel and serving as a core team member for the Autonomous Systems Design Center of Excellence (COE) and Mission Assurance leadership teams.

The Triton PQM has ultimate responsibility for quality for the Triton program. Responsibilities include oversight of Mission Assurance employees and program operations in Rancho Bernardo, Palmdale, Moss Point, and flight test locations.

The position requires management ofstatement of workand support of all program review boards, as well as leading the program preventive and corrective action boards.

The PQM for the Triton program has the primary responsibility to be the NGC representative to the program customers, as well as delegated DCMA leadership.

The PQM interfaces with program customers and DCMA to deduce requirements and understand stakeholder expectations to develop controls that build confidence for process execution.

Frequent interactions with customer representatives is required on projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and contractual clarifications are key to maintaining compliance.

The PQM also serves as the Cost Account Manager for the specified Tritontasks and includes the need to manage the budget and report weekly Earned Value.

This position also requires solid communication skills and the ability to prepare and present to the customer, COE division leaders, and Triton program leadership on key milestones and interface/address customer concerns.

The PQM is responsible to support the Quality Management System and ensure adherence to corporate/sector policies and procedures as well as reviewdeliveries and support other customer award fee criteria.

Additionally, the PQM ensures timely support and flow down of sector/division goals and key operating factors to include support of the program affordability goals.

This position is responsible for staffing and daily management of all Mission Assurance personnel assigned to the Triton program.

This manager works with Mission Assurance sector directors and has dotted line management oversight of the Mission Assurance homerooms at the sites to ensure resources are properly applied.

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline/fieldand aminimum of 10 years well-rounded experiencewithin manufacturing and qualityassurance.
  • DoD Secret security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree and ASQ certifications are highly preferred.
  • Previous experience withunmanned aircraft is highly preferred.
  • Experience leading quality in the defense or space industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience leading quality management foraircraft defense systems products is highly preferred.
