Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
The GBSD Booster Systems Chief Engineer (CE) is the primary technical authority for design and development of GBSD booster systems led by the Launch Vehicles business unit of Flight Systems Division. The CE provides overall technical leadership of the multidisciplinary engineering team to ensure technical, operational, and schedule requirements are met. The CE is the primary technical interface with the customer for critical issues, and works closely with systems engineering to ensure that interfaces between booster elements and other GBSD systems are clearly defined and adequately verified. The CE ensures timely resolution of critical technical issues, drives the design & development of new system configurations and emerging capabilities, establishes and manages the technical element of the supply chain, identifies and develops product improvements, leads the booster system configuration control board and risk management board, and provides written and verbal status reporting to both internal management and external customers. The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge regarding missile system technologies and operations and thorough understanding of Launch Vehicles internal processes and standards. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in resolving complex problems are essential.
Bachelor of Science Engineering plus 15 years of related experience.
U.S. Citizenship is required..
Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
Ability to Travel 10%-25%
