Mgr Programs 3
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Manager Program 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in Woodland Hills, CA.
This role reports directly to the Program Director for Space and Strategic Operating Unit (OU). The Space and Strategic OU is responsible for the development and deployment of high precision navigation, guidance and targeting solutions for government, commercial and international customers.
The Program Manager 3 will direct all phases of programs from inception through completion and is responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of programs.
The Program Manager 3 will participate in the negotiation of contracts, manage the proposal process and support Annual Operating Plan (AOP)/Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) definition. This position requires direct interface with the Customer, Business Management, Business Development, Contracts, Engineering / Sciences / Technology, Manufacturing and Quality. The Program Manager 3 will focus on the execution of development programs and work closely with the Business Development team to develop future business.
Bachelor's degree in STEM field and 8 years of experience in program/project management, engineering program management or IPT lead experience or four (4) additional years of professional exempt experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Successfully developed and led cross functional teams
Strong communication, team building and coordination skills
Experience in EVMS and risk/opportunity management
Active DoD secret clearance
U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI
Master's degree in STEM field
Experience in program execution and/or development for space application
Active TS/SCI clearance
EVMS and risk/opportunity management proficiency
Program leadership/execution on non-recurring engineering programs exceeding $50M
Experience in successfully managing through major program milestones such as IBR, SRR, PDR and CDR
Experience in the development/integration of navigation/positioning/guidance & control systems
