Mgr Programs 2

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Managers Programs 2 to join our team of highly qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located inRolling Meadows, IL.

The individual selected will be responsible for managing product development programs, will act as the primary point of contact for program activities, leading program review sessions, establishing staffing plans for programs, monitoring and managing adherence to master schedules and earned value plans, identifying program problems and driving solutions. The candidate will meet with Operating Unit directors and VPs regarding potential activities and the status of active programs to ensure successful transition to production Business Units and is responsible for the execution of programs key to achieving strategic growth at the sector level. The candidate will lead strategic partnering activities with supply chain leadership for technologies key to future business growth and will be involved with the identification of, building business cases for, and soliciting support for technologies that are maturing and are key to sector growth. The individual will be responsible for establishing strong relationships and maintaining open communications with internal and external stakeholders, will coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications. Position will require domestic travel.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelorsdegree and 8years of relevant experience
Experience leading high performance teams,
Excellent communication skills,
Strong analytical and problem solving skills,
Ability to travel domestically up to 25%,
Ability to establish leadership role in meetings,
Ability to lead a team to be productive in the face of significant technical uncertainty/immaturity,
Proficiency with MS Office applications
Active secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in financial and contractual concepts,
Strong presentation skills,
Technical/engineering or business degree.
