Mgr Programs 1
Northrop Grumman, Mission Systems is looking for a Manger, Programs 1 in our Aircraft Survivability Business Unit. In this role the focus will be on hardware development programs in our Survivability Development Operating Unit. The primary objective will be the delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements. The individual will lead a cross-functional organization aligned to common program performance goals.
The Program Manager will be responsible for coordination and management of all phases of execution, from marketing (requirements shaping) to inception (proposal development), and completion (contract closeout). Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Managing the integration of IRCM equipment and onto aircraft platforms.
Ensuring compliance to export policies within the program
Development of customer relationships and cultivation of customer intimacy
Proposal development / Capture planning and strategy
Statement of Work (SOW) creation
Negotiation and establishment of schedule milestones, payment, and other key contract terms and conditions
Knowledge and execution of a variety of proposal and contract types (FFP, CPFF, IWO, T&M, etc.)
Development and delivery of presentations to customers, management, and other program stakeholders
Preparation of metrics and internal progress reports for management (IPRS, Dashboard, BUR, etc.)
Leading and directing a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT)
Development and adherence to Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
Development and adherence to budget baselines using Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and tools
Government Property (GFE, CFE, etc.) tracking and managemen
Bachelor's Degree and5 years', or Master's and 3 years' experience supporting Department of Defense, Government contracts, or project management in other industries.
Demonstrated success in managing projects to cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements.
Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager.
Demonstrated success aligning teams, organizations or employee resource groups to achieve a common goal.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
U.S citizen and abilityto obtaina US Government Secret clearance
Prior experience developing or supporting Electro-Optical / Infrared (EO/IR) products and technologies
Program or project management experience in Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Operations or Supply Chain Management
Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with the US Army
Prior experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and MS Project
Prior experience with integration of systems onto military or commercial derivative aircraft.
Top Secret with SCI eligibility and/or ability to obtain special access clearances
