Mgr Pricing and Estimating 1

Northrop Grumman's Estimating & Pricing Organization is hiring a Manager of Pricing and Estimating 1 to support the Land and Avionics Division.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develops, plans, schedules, price and review proposals
  • Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications
  • Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments
  • Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts
  • Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings
  • Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives
  • Ensures Estimating System compliance
  • Oversees projects and task assigned to the organizational group performed by non-exempt and/or exempt employees
  • Supports executive proposal reviews, Independent Cost Evaluations and proposal reviews evaluating risks/opportunities and cost confidence assessment

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated 1 years people lead/leadership experience and 6 years of business management experience
  • Must possess demonstrated people leadership abilities
  • Professional working knowledge and demonstrated proficient work experience with estimating and pricing concepts, FAR, TCoPD, and US Government / DoD customer expectations
  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and presentation skills as well as strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to obtain secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of various Government contract types (i.e. various Fixed Price, Cost Type, IDIQ)
  • Professional working experience with SAP or any other type of accounting/procurement system
