Northrop GrummanAeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager of Manufacturing 2 (Factory Accountability) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale CA. The selected candidate will manage a program or a function within the larger organizational unit, setting and operating to objectives and providing guidance to subordinates based on goals, objectives and company policy.

Essential Functions:

Leadership characteristics and people engagement is of the upmost importance, with an ability to exhibit professionalism and create a team working and learning environment. Communication is paramount, with an ability to clearly define expectations and work thru complex interpersonal interactions across functions and levels including direct reports, peers, and leadership. Willingness to step-up and assume accountability when the perception of need exists, and an ability to accomplish tasks in a positive manner while managing multiple projects at the same time with varying levels of technical maturity.
Position requires outstanding written and oral communication skills with a high level of internal and external engagement, acting as an advisor to individual contributors, senior management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications. Competence is required in the Factory Accountability field. Full working knowledge of procedures and practices associated with quality policy strategy and all facets of factory accountability.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree with 5 years' experience or a High school diploma with 9 years' experience in a quality assurance or factory accountability role.
  • Ability to create/prepare advanced PowerPoint presentations, assemble reports and present to executive level leadership
  • Experience establishing and maintaining performance metrics to measure program success using MS Excel and/or Tableu.
  • An Active DOD Secret Clearance with background investigation within the past 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Active Top Secret Clearance issued by the DoD
  • Current and Active Special Program Access
  • Familiarity with DCMA NAS412 8210.C and Foreign Object Elimination procedures M0-503 and M0503.01
  • Extensive knowledge and experience supporting FOE Audits
  • Experience improving manufacturing production processes
    Strategic thinking/planning abilities, exhibit leadership skills preferably having lead cross-functional team and organization/prioritizing skills preferred.
