  • Assume responsibility for thefabrication departments and personnel on second shift; this includesoverseeing:
  • production scheduling
  • quality assurance
  • continuous improvement initiatives
  • maintaining safe and efficientmanufacturing operations
  • Assist in training employees
  • Audit manufacturing and testingprocedures
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues
  • Fully understand and properly executeemergency procedures
  • Demonstrate the required leadershipbehaviors to motivate and engage employees and to build trust and confidenceamong the management team and peers
  • Partner with other area supervisors,managers, and other operations resources to address and solve criticaloperational and employee performance issues in a timely manner
  • Lead the workforce to meet specifiedoperational metrics and area goals, including leading Lean Savings projects,reducing Cost of Poor Quality, improving On-Time-Shipments, and enhancingemployee engagement
  • Serve as the backup for other off-shiftsupervisors, as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in a technical orbusiness discipline is required
  • Strong organizational and communicationskills (both written and verbal) are required
  • Proficiency utilizing Microsoft OfficeSuite is required
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and LeanManufacturing concepts is required·

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering,scientific, or related technical field is strongly preferred
  • A minimum of three year experienceworking in a manufacturing environment is required; prior supervisionexperience is preferred; experience supervising a manufacturing operation isstrongly preferred
  • Experience with data analysis software,such as MiniTab, is preferred
