Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Lab Integration and Test Department Manager (Engineering Manager 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

This key manager will lead a team of approximately 120+ Integration, Test, Design and Software Engineers supporting air programs at sites in Palmdale, CA, Oklahoma City, OK and Tinker AFB. Department Manager responsibilities include:

  • Program staffing and long range personnel planning
  • Program test engineering oversight (RCCA investigations, Test Readiness Reviews, Proposal reviews, etc.)
  • Leadership development, and knowledge retention, training, and development of all personnel
  • Developing and maintaining meaningful performance metrics
  • Team engagement and collaboration
  • Goal setting, performance feedback and SRP
  • Developing and driving department affordability strategy
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements as a member of the Process Working Group (PWG) board
  • Establishing/managing indirect NCTA and capital budgets
Basic Qualifications:
  • STEM Degree
  • At least 8 years of relevant Test and Evaluation experience
  • At least 3 years performing Integration and Test in aSystems Integration Labor Hardware in the Loop environment
  • Atleast 3 years of leadership experience
  • Experience managing a budget
  • Existing final TS clearance with investigation in the last 6 years
  • Must be SCI eligible

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a functional manager
  • Experience mapping requirements to verification activity
