Mgr Engineering 2 - Test Operations

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems Flight Test Center of Excellence is seeking aTest OperationsManager to support various UAS programs Production Test efforts in Palmdale, CA. This manager will lead a group of personnel comprised of the following skill sets: System Engineers, Electronic Engineers, System Administrators, Operations Management, and Technicians.
In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:
- Oversee alltest operational aspects of the programs to ensure the successful execution of all modifications and test operations.
- Ensure deployment and enforcement of standard processes and procedures throughout the organization.
- Ensure theconfiguration is maintained in accordance with Northrop Grumman processes and are ready for testing to support a dynamic test schedule.
- Work with program leadership to assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and program cost/schedule objectives as well as develop and maintain metrics for monitoring the team's progress.
- Drive good system engineer practices into the organization by developing policies and enforcing their execution.
- Support new business proposals, process initiatives and employee development.
- Maintain configuration control of all assets.
- Maintain adequate staffing levels to ensure the program Statement of Work is achieved.
- Ensure all physical and computer security requirements are met.

- Ability to Coach and mentor employees within the team
- Ability to develop strategies for future enhancements and improvements with a focus on affordability

This position reports functionally to the Flight Test Center of Excellence, Test Operations Manager and programmatically to the Antelope Valley Ground Segment Operations Manager, and will assist with various elements of the organizations.

This position will also fill the Section Manager role.
Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)and fiveyears of related experience
- Demonstrated success leading a cross functional team
- Active DOD InterimSecret Clearance or above

Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success leading a cross functional team
- Experience in the Production and/or Developmental Flight Test environment
- Experience in Systems Engineering and/or process development
- Experience on Global Hawk, Triton or NATO programs
- Functional Management experience
- Flexibility to work occasionally work weekends and odd shifts
