Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems located in Edwards AFB, CAhas an opening for a Manager Engineering 1.
The Engineering Managerjob responsibilities include planning and managing work priorities and deadlines, overseeing adherence to company and government policies and procedures, monitoring schedule and budget performance, and ensuring that quality and safety standards are met at all times. This position is also responsible for managing technical risks and costs and reporting regularly to Flight Test leadership team on performance, and well as a comprehensive understanding of test processes and deliverables. Day to day responsibilities is leading a team of test professional to support aircraft configuration, documentation, and scheduling to meet CTF (Combined Test Force) schedules and priorities. Additional job requirements also include the ability to adapt to and manage, a changing local test environment based upon shifting directions and focus on the customer and/or company priorities, as well as supporting annual procedure updates and audits to meet DCMA specifications. Professional interaction with all levels of company leadership as well as government CTF partners and GFR/DCMA representatives is required. Some travel to support specific GH programs, ground operations organization needs and special tests are required. This position will work2nd and/or 3rd shift andother shifts as may be needed
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree plus three years of Aerospace Work experience or a minimum of seven years of Aerospace work experience in lieu of a degree
Minimum of 1 year of experience with Flight Test Operations and Procedures with multiple aircraft and/or programs
Previous Project Management experience facilitating planning and scheduling of aircraft testing and/or aircraft maintenance
Must have an Active DOD interim Secret clearance or higher
Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math(STEM)
Experience in unmanned aircraft platforms.
Experience working at a military test site.
Flight test experience.
Previous experience with Global Hawk and/or HALE aircraft.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, and
Microsoft Project. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with customers, various levels of management and staff
