Northrop Grumman AerospaceSystems is currently recruiting for an experienced Manager of Electronics Survivability Engineers 2 for our Palmdale CA. location.

Overall responsible for managing specialty systems for key sub-systems tied to customer satisfaction, cost, schedule, risks/opportunities, technical performance, and product quality for Survivability IPT functions/systems for contractual and non-contractual activities. Delegated Sub-Tier IPT Manager point of contact for Program Manager(s) and Chief Engineer for Survivability IPT for sub-tier program activities. Assists the Survivability IPT Lead in managing the design, development, integration, testing, verification/validation, product manufacturing, and operational engineering support of all requirements. Delegated responsibility for participation in sub-systems contract rhythm meetings & reviews, briefings and technical interface meetings. Works with organization personnel including Program Directors, Program Managers, and senior manager representatives from Chief Engineer/Architect Office, IPTs, and Functional Services.External interfaces include customer counterparts Systems Engineering support organizations, and senior Managers from NGC and non-NGC industry partners.Manage the day-to-day execution of the Specialty Systems for Survivability IPT

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Survivability Sub IPT lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, California. (Survivability, as used in this discussion is the application of technology and techniques which render an air vehicle or other system undetectable or nearly undetectable to current and future sensing systems. This is a specialty area within Systems Engineering.)

You will lead a growing team of Survivability Specialtyengineers in Palmdale and Redondo Beach, California,supporting requirements definition and analysis, technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysesfor total systemsacross multiple programs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) disciplineand 5 years ofsurvivability experience OR a Master's Degree in STEM field and 3 years ofsurvivability experience
  • Experience with leading small teams
  • Experience with RCS development tools, such as analysis/modeling tools, LO materials and their application, LO models, testing, and data analysis
  • An activeDoD Secret Clearance with a background investigation completed within the last six years
  • The ability to obtain Program Access

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current access to SAP/SAR programs
  • Bachelor degree in a STEM field from an accredited university with 9 years systemsengineering experience or a Mastersdegree in a STEM field from an accredited university with 7 years' experience.
  • Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
  • An active DoD Top Secret clearance (background investigation no more than 6 years old)
