Northrop Grumman is looking for aDigital, Links and Power ConverterIPT for the Manhattan Beach facility.

This individual will be assistingthe IPT Director in leading a multi-disciplined Digital and Links Team in the management and execution of the baseline design/development, subcontract management, manufacturing and test of the complex high bandwidth D&L portfolio for multiple shipsets of flight hardware. Disciplines will include RF, mixed signal, digital, product design and production.

The duties will include:

  • Partnering with the Digital and Links IPT to manage cross-functional engineering team of 100+ engineers
  • Managing and executing the cost, schedule and technical baselines of the P093 D&L package
  • Managing and leading the development of the D&L architecture and detailed design of technologies such as RF MMICs, digital and mixed signal ASICs, high density printed wiring boards, and high speed digital interfaces
  • Overseeing the management of multiple suppliers for key components
  • Leading strategies for future D&L enhancements and improvements, with focus on affordability Position will require extensive interface and coordination with program management, customer counterparts, and contractor boundaries
  • Leading strategies for Future Enhancements and Improvements with a focus on affordability
  • Securing RFPs, leading & preparing proposals, and baseline planning for new activities
  • Participating in P093 Group 2 activities for Digital hardware, including requirement/SOW development, acquisition management, and source selection
  • Overseeing and providing senior leadership to Digital engineering development activities
  • Identifying and realizing opportunities to reduce cost and improve processes; maintain & evolve Digital hardware cost models
  • Representing Digital and Links IPT, with frequent customer, supplier, program and functional leadership interaction.
  • Meeting all security, organizational conflict of interest, export control, protection of proprietary information, and risk and opportunity management processes

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline
- Minimum of 7 years of experience indigital or power electronics
- Active SCI DoD clearance
- Program technical leadership experience
- Experience leading atechnical team toward successful product delivery
- Experience in program execution anddemonstrated ability to meet program technical, cost, and schedule milestones
- Hands-on knowledge of programmatic/CAM processes, project planning and scheduling, cost control, change control, EVMS, staffing, coordination and oversight of technical work effort
-Knowledge of end-to-end program lifecycle
- Hands-on experience in managing one phase of a technical program through delivery of a product
- Proven partnership/collaboration skills
- Proven ability to partner with cross IPTs/cross disciplines within a team

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree in an engineering or technical discipline preferred
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) across all levels of the organization
