Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager for a position at the Unmanned Systems Integration Center in Sierra Vista, Arizona. This position will lead electrical engineering efforts on the Hunter
- Research, develop, design and test electrical components, equipment, systems and networks.
- Perform research, drawing creation, drawing analysis, and electrical component, equipment and systems analysis.
- Identify, analyze, and solve obsolescence issues.
- Develop interface block diagrams and wiring diagrams to be used to produce cable assemblies.
- Support sustainment of various electronic equipment, providing repair/testing solutions or resolving product issues.
- Participate in cross-functional teams.
- Perform personnel actions including but not limited to performance reviews, development planning, and timecard approvals.
- Provide monthly updates to forecasted Electrical Engineering staffing hours by project.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field and 9 years of related experience, or 7 years with a Master's degree.
The applicant must be capable of designing to requirement specifications, performing trade studies, presenting design data to customers and reviewing design data as independent reviewer.
Must be able to work closely with other engineers and project leaders, support production line, and work within schedule and budget constraints.
Working knowledge of computer networking, fiber optics, power systems (AC and DC), serial communication (RS-422, RS-232), and lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multi-meters, power meters, spectrum analyzer)
A minimum of 2 years of experience directly managing a technical group
Experience with AutoCAD and VISIO.
Experience and knowledge of MIL-Spec 1553 communication, connector standards, aviation standards.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance is required.
Demonstrated leadership and personnel management experience in a technical environment.
Current active Secret security clearance.
