Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems Sector is seeking an experienced Manager, Business Development 2 to join our Business Development team in our Chandler, AZ office.

Role Description & Responsibilities:
Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems is actively seeking motivated aerospace technical professionals with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will take a lead role in contributing to the growth of Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems through the capture of new business, expansion of existing business, and growth into new opportunities and adjacent markets.

The Manager, Business Development 2 will:
Represent Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems' products and services with enthusiasm and integrity.
Lead multi-disciplinary program management and engineering teams in business capture and proposal efforts.
Regularly interface with customers to market Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems' products and services.
Work with customers to understand needs and requirements and effectively identify business opportunities within those needs.
Prepare and effectively present customer briefings.
Manage all aspects proposal planning, preparation, and submittal efforts.
Develop accurate program cost and schedule estimates for new business opportunities.
Provide regular status updates on active projects to executive management.
Coordinate with executive management on proposal/bid strategies.
Collaborate with other industry groups and companies and form teams/coalitions to pursue business opportunities.
Represent and market Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems' products and services at industry trade shows and conferences.
Work with documentation and graphic design personnel to create advertising and promotion concepts for new product literature.
Travel both for trade shows and short notice trips to customer/supplier facilities.

Basic Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Business, Engineering, or Marketing is required.
Candidate must have a minimum of 15 years experience in the aerospace business, government or industry with leadership experience.
Ability to travel, with a travel expectation of 25% 50%.
Understanding of core Business Development, competitive analysis, capture management, and proposal development processes.
Good knowledge of US aerospace industry, including primes, suppliers, and services and their capabilities.
Strong interpersonal and networking skills with existing aerospace professionals.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in winning proposal preparation. Customer liaison experience.
