Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is one of the leaders in providing first class products to the world. The Subassembly Manufacturing Assembly Resource and Test (SMART) area delivers a diverse assortment of hardware. The SMART Lab works acrossmultiple programs to produce thrusters,propulsion subsystems, heat pipes, ground systems, and various assemblies for flight, development, and experimental programs. Various electromechanical, precision assembly, and fabrication processes are also performed in the areasuch astube fabrication, orbital welding, precision cleaning, and bonding. Acceptance testing of hardware may include flow tests, proof tests, leak tests, and electrical functional testing.
Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent, and 2 years experience inmanufacturing area
  • Must have one or more skills of precision mechanical assembly, acceptance testing setups, and pneumatic testing
  • Must know how to review drawings, process specifications, and work orders
  • Must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office to supplement work orders and other data requirements
  • Able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prefer to have welding (Orbital and TIG) experience
  • Electrical assembly and testincluding splicing, pinning, and potting is a plus
