Requires precision assembling, handling and cleaning of mechanical and optical hardware such as mirror, lenses, electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies. The mixing and use of paints, epoxies, bonding and sealing of component, the use if all cleaning agents required to complete assigned task.
Must be familiar with computer hardware and software to the extent to complete required job functions. Knowledge of electronic, electrical and mechanical equipment to complete system level assemblies as required.
Must be computer literate to the extent required to perform job functions, Will be required to work using self-inspection as the guideline for quality work. Perform quality inspections and acceptance tasks.

Certification of ability to perform job functions is required and must be obtained.

Work in a team environment completing task from limited engineering information, assembly drawings, sketches, written and verbal instruction, established test procedures and shop order packages.
Team member and participate in Team meeting when required.

This role will require the ability to work in various classes of a clean room environment and includes the need to wear necessary clean room apparel.
Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 year college degree (Associate's Degree) or an additional 4 years of work/military experience.
  • A minimum offive (5) years in precision assembly, plus alignment and checkout of system components.
  • Must be able to perform precision layout and have the experience with mechanical, optical and electronic measuring equipment.
  • Knowledge of micro-electronics and related specification requiredfor top level system assembly. Must be familiar with all requirements to support system integration and test support.
  • Must be able perform job functions including working while harnessed to a scissor lift roughly 20 feet up while integrating assembly
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
  • Certification of ability to perform all job functions is required and must be obtained.
  • Active/Interim DoD Secret security clearance must be held and maintained. (U.S. Citizenship is required)
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions and environmental/physical consideration per Employee Requisition


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a S.T.E.M. Field
